Jiangsu has established industrial R&D cooperation with 10 countries or regions including Israel, Finland and the Czech Republic. It also joined hands with top universities including the University of Oxford and the National University of Singapore to establish R&D and technology transfer institutions.

Jiangsu has become one of China's top destinations with most active and fruitful industry-academia collaboration. Among the achievements are the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park and the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) China Regional Research Centre.

The 8th CITTC focused on biomedicine and health care, intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment, new energy and environmental protection, next-generation information technology, new materials and high-tech agriculture. It attracted more than 1,000 Chinese and foreign institutions to participate in the event online or onsite. In the conference, nearly 600 pairs of enterprises held one-on-one talks for potential cooperation.
