Jiangsu governor Xu Kunlin visited companies and scientific research institutes in Wujiang District in Suzhou City and the Suzhou Industrial Park on August 9 to 10 to learn about intelligent and digital transformation of enterprises.
Xu stressed the importance to accelerate the digital transformation of industry and commercialization of digital technologies, build Suzhou into a powerhouse of digital economy innovation, and support the realization of economic growth targets and creation of long-term development advantages.
At the Jiangsu branch of the China Academy of Industrial Internet Research, Xu exchanged ideas with deputies to the provincial people's congress and enterprise managers. He called for efforts to leverage the advantage of Jiangsu's manufacturing industry, expand application of Industrial Internet, and turn massive data resources into powerful productivity.
Suzhou Mingzhi Technology Co Ltd is the first listed company in China's casting industry. Xu encouraged the company to make good use of digital, intelligence and industrial internet technologies and build itself into an industrial hub that features green, intelligent, efficient operations as well as sharing.
Xu also visited Dogain Laser Technology, the MEMS platform jointly developed by the CAS Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics (SINANO) and Suzhou Nanotech, and Bafang Electric, where he inquired about the production, operation and technological innovation.
Companies need to explore the global market, enhance innovation capacity, seek the collaborative innovation together with university and research institute, promote cooperation across the industry chain, and contribute to the province’s goal of becoming a globally competitive IC industry cluster, according to Xu.
