Jiangsu Province, a major export-oriented economic powerhouse in the country, saw its freight train trips to Europe and Central Asia during the week-long Spring Festival holiday reach 42, up 180% over the same period last year.
During the holiday from January 31 to February 6, Nanjing had five freight train trips including a train exclusively loaded with wear-resistant materials to Kazakhstan.

Lianyungang, a coastal city in the province, saw 16 train trips to Central Asia.
