The truck transportation between Suzhou and European countries provides a low-cost and efficient logistics solution that takes about two weeks for one journey, said Wu Zhengguang, a manager of Sino-Europe Trucking Jiangsu (Jiangsu) Logistics Service.
For advantages compared with ocean shipping and freight train, the number of truck trips in the first nine months this year increased by 30% year on year.

The cargo service, a creation firstly from the Suzhou area of the Jiangsu Pilot Free Trade Zone, links domestic cities with destinations in Europe by trucks, via Horgos Port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. As the fourth logistics channel after air, sea, and train transportation, it meets the needs of domestic enterprises and also promotes the interconnection between European and Asian countries, offering a fast track to expand into the international market.
The truck transportation proves a good solution for companies especially since the COVID-19 outbreak has disrupted traditional air and sea channels, including a rising cost for air cargo.
Despite the pandemic, the company has continued to operate 2-4 truck trips a week and deliver 200-300 orders a month, effectively addressing the cargo transportation problems faced by some enterprises.
As of September 2021, over 100 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry giants had used the Sino-Europe trucking service. The company has promoted its business in cities including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Tianjin and Dalian.
From January to September this year, the total imports and exports reached 2.2 billion yuan, an increase of over 30% year-on-year.
