From November 10, Nanjing’s import and export enterprises can apply for the China-Pakistan FTA Certificate of Origin from http://login.qiye.ccpiteco.net, the online portal of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
The CCPIT Nanjing Sub-council will complete the application and issue the certificate in one working day, and then enterprises can print on their own without the trouble of in-person visit.
Zou Ruirui, head of the legal department at the CCPIT Nanjing Sub-council, said the online portal offers free service to apply for the digital certificate and also supports easy access and verification, such as by scanning a QR code or visiting the website, thus enabling fast customs clearance for enterprises.
China and Pakistan reached the free trade agreement in November 2006 and the deal covered trade in goods, trade in services, investment and other fields. It is the first FTA signed between China and a South Asian country.
in 2021, 61 Nanjing enterprises have acquired 255 Certificates of Origin from the CCPIT with a total export value reaching $35.51 million. The shipping document attesting that export goods are manufactured in China enables exporters to receive tariff reductions of more than $1.77 million.
The CCPIT Nanjing Sub-council can issue 14 kinds of certificates of origin under the FTA. To provide a better service, the sub-council has also opened the hotline 025-83635361 and a WeChat public account, providing comprehensive assistance to exporters in understanding and benefiting from the policy.
