Jiangsu Skyrun Wuxi, an exporter of full series of footwear and socks products for nearly 30 years, has won an order for 500,000 medical protective clothes from Bavaria, a landlocked state of Germany.
Zhang Yongliang, president of the Wuxi-based exporter, said the company has received the foreign trade payment of nearly 60 million yuan. This business success was followed after its online signing of agreement with Taubert Textil GmbH, which is based in Bavaria and has enjoyed close partnership with the exporter since the trade fair in Guangzhou in 2015.
When China was in shortage of masks amid the coronavirus outbreak, the president of Taubert tried the best to help collect and purchase masks. When Europe was hit hard by the pandemic, Zhang sent 3,000 masks to the German company, winning its appreciation. The timely donation also prompted the Bavaria state government to place the order for 500,000 protective suits.
With the coordination and support of Wuxi authorities, the products will be delivered to Germany by air, sea and land in late May. Another order for 500,000 protective clothes, worth nearly 60 million yuan, is expected to be placed in mid-June.
