In the January- May period, Jiangsu’s foreign trade totaled over 1.9618 trillion yuan, an increase of 20.8% year-on-year, a record high since it rebounded in March this year.
The total retail sales of social consumer goods in Jiangsu increased by 31.2% year-on-year to reach over 1.7795 trillion yuan, the second highest in the county.
In the five months, the province’s actual use of foreign investment hit $13.44 billion, a year-on-year growth of 45.6%, the highest in the country. This represented a growth of 41.7% than in 2019 and an average growth of 19.0% in two years.
