Seven airports operated by the Eastern Airports Group in Jiangsu Province will open new or increase domestic flights during the upcoming May Day holiday.

Nanjing Lukou International Airport will open new flights to Nanchong in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province and Kashgar in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. There will also be more flights to Urumqi, Guangzhou, Taiyuan and Guiyang during the 5-day holiday. The airport has also cooperated with major airlines to offer discounts, with the one-way airfare as low as 200 yuan for many routes starting from Nanjing.

From May 1 to 5, Nanjing Lukou International Airport is expected to handle more than 3,000 domestic flights with 394,000 passengers, an increase of 13% and 8% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. The airport will also launch a ride-hailing service from May 1, further improving the travel experience.
