Wujiang District in Suzhou City issued China’s first business license for a foreign-invested company, which bears the hallmark of "Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone" on April 1.
The ecologically friendly demonstration zone spans Qingpu District in Shanghai, Jiashan County in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province and Wujiang District in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. It’s deemed as the pioneer in accelerating the integrated development of the broader Yangtze River Delta region, a national strategy.
The demonstration zone has agreed to adopt unified, more streamlined and efficient measures to facilitate foreign investment.

The business license was granted to a joint venture launched by Suzhou Zhenlun Spinning and investment from Hong Kong, with a registered capital of 100 million yuan.
"The Yangtze River Delta is home to many of our customers, and its focus on ecological and green development in the demonstration zone is in line with our business philosophy," said Shen Yaohua, vice chairman of Zhenlun, upon receiving the certificate.
Gu Xu, deputy head of the policy and regulations dept. at Wujiang District Market Supervision Bureau, said foreign-invested enterprises willing to have the hallmark added to the license can make application and expect to receive the result within three working days.
