Nanjing’s key construction projects have gone full steam ahead since the start of this year.
The city plans to build 496 projects this year mainly in six fields including transport infrastructure, ecological protection, urban renovation, and housing security system. A number of key projects are nearing completion in the first half of the year.
To build the Yangtze River International Conference Centre on schedule, about 1,200 workers chose to stay in Nanjing for the Spring Festival holiday and continued the construction nonstop while receiving the extra subsidies for the festival.
The 3rd Ring Road is expected to complete construction in April and will play an important role in the upcoming 11th Jiangsu Horticultural Expo. Currently, progress was made in building a 2.2 km-long road section and additional bridges.
Construction of the Yangzijiang Expressway is now at the final stage too, with sound progress made in building the pipe corridor and tunnels.
