Zhenjiang City has attracted more and more multinational companies to open regional headquarters or offices, according to data from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce.
Among the companies are Danfoss Power Solutions (Jiangsu), Jianhuan Construction Materials, KYB and Total.
From January to October this year, the city's paid-in foreign investment amounted to $550 million, up 34.2 percent year-on-year, 24.3 percentage points higher than the provincial average, according to data from the Zhenjiang Municipal Department of Commerce.
A breakdown of the data showed foreign investment in manufacturing industry accounted for 65 percent, 27 percentage points higher than the average level of the province. The paid-in foreign investment for projects worth $10 million now totaled $360 million, 65.5 percent of the total.
Zhenjiang has also revised and improved the foreign investment measures, such as helping over 170 executives from 70 foreign-funded companies to visit the city and help resume production after the COVID-19 outbreak.
