A conference on the national initiative of integrating information technology and industrial sectors to seek a new road of industrialization as well as development of the industrial Internet was held in Suzhou City on October 21.

The meeting was jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Jiangsu Provincial Government.

Suzhou, an economic powerhouse, has a solid foundation for the development of industrial Internet and boasts a wide range of application scenarios. The city also enjoys special advantages as it is home to programs related to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, a national development strategy.

Jiangsu has made clear to double efforts in developing itself into a powerhouse of manufacturing and Internet sectors. It aims to facilitate innovation in industrial Internet and support IT-based industrial development. The conference will further stimulate the new progress in these programs.

To deepen integration of the new generation of information technology and the manufacturing industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will improve the policy support and standards system and accelerate the breakthrough in core technological innovation.
