The Sino-German (Changzhou) Innovation Park, located in the city’s Jintan District, held the opening ceremony on September 28.
The smooth development of the park is a new achievement of Changzhou’s efforts to deepen cooperation with Germany and also a milestone in the city’s goal to host a cluster of smart manufacturing industry that can have German’s manufacturing reputation.
Qi Jiabin, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Committee, said the park’s opening marked a new phase of cooperation with Germany. Changzhou will make efforts to offer China’s first-class business environment, provide the best service to German investment, and accelerate the pace to reach new height and become a role model in comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The opening ceremony also included the signing of agreement, online or offline, for ten projects by companies including KAMAX Automotive Fasteners, Md Electronics and GEDIA Automotive Group. Such projects involve a total investment of 2.76 billion yuan, and they are expected to stimulate the high-quality development of Jintan District and the city too.
The innovation park over an area of 27.5 square kilometers will be a top destination of four main sectors - high-end intelligent equipment, new energy automobile, telecommunication, and photovoltaic energy. It will be an international park that integrates the functions of exhibition and exchange, culture and business, investment services, and technology incubation.
