After evaluation, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Natural Resources has recently recognized about 1.3 kilometers of newly ecologically restored coastline.

The newly identified areas are primarily located in Lianyungang’s Lianyun District and Yancheng City’s Sheyang County and Dafeng District. An expert panel acknowledged that diverse measures, such as planting vegetation, removing Spartina alterniflora, and cleaning up the beach, have enhanced the ecological functions of the muddy coastline.

Following the recognition process, the identified coastline will be included in a provincial database for better monitoring and management.
