Nantong City held a ceremony on September 11 for 19 members of the 20th Chinese (Jiangsu) medical aid teams to Guyana and Malta before their departure. They will begin their one-year overseas medical aid mission on September 20.

The team to Guyana consists of 16 members from Nantong. The team for Malta includes three members from Nantong and three from Huai'an.

The medical aid team to Guyana includes professionals in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, and medical imaging.

Since 1966, a total of 45 medical professionals from Nantong have completed overseas aid missions in Zanzibar, Malta and Guyana.
