Nanjing City is set to commemorate the 46th National Tree Planting Day on March 12 with a variety of activities.
On the morning of March 12, Yueya Park located in Nanjing’s Qinhuai District will host an event to enhance the public’s understanding of tree planting. This event will cover topics such as policies and regulations related to gardening and forestry, greening planning and construction, as well as the care of plants and flowers.

The city plans to regularly organize activities focused on the science of caring trees and plants. It will also utilize various media formats, including short videos and science posters, to reach out to a larger audience.
Additionally, the city will soon launch its 7th survey of ancient and famous trees. Nanjing encourages its citizens to contribute information about old trees and participate in their conservation.
The city boasts an extensive network of greenways, exceeding 1,800 kilometers. Nanjing plans to further enhance the accessibility of these green spaces to its residents, according to its 2020-2035 plan.
