The 14th Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress concluded its second session on the afternoon of January 26.

The annual session of the province’s top legislature received 24 motions and more than 800 suggestions, marking a record high in recent years.

The motions primarily address five key areas: promoting high-quality economic development, improving sci-tech self-reliance and self-strengthening, advancing agricultural modernization, fostering the construction of ecological civilization, and enhancing people's livelihood protection and social governance.

The suggestions by deputies cover various fields including economic growth, urban development, taxation, finance, agriculture, rural areas, S&T, education, culture, and health. They have been transferred to 105 departments and organizations for processing.
