The cultural section of the Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai, the Culture and Tourism Department of Changzhou City, and the Foreign Affairs Office of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government jointly organized a cultural fair at the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP) on September 5, also a part of the 2022 China-Israel Innovation Cooperation Week.

The open-air event under the theme of “One Day in Israel” featured handicrafts, creative home furnishings, digital gadgets, and health products.

This event also included the DOTS-Innovative Art Expo, which exhibited 26 works created by eight Israeli artists. Shahar, the exhibition curator and Bruno Art Group's China project manager, said one must first understand the culture in order to understand a country and culture is the best medium for exchange between countries.

The exhibition also showed crafts and arts representative of Changzhou’s cultural legacies, such as a random-stitch embroidery work, cloisonne and red sandalwood carving. Visitors were also impressed by the 6.2-meter-long paper-cutting work featuring the Grand Canal.

The innovation cooperation week also included a concert on the evening of the same day by performers from the China National Opera House and Israeli artists.
