By the end of June, Jiangsu saw a total of 698,732 new energy vehicles (NEVs) going on the road, a year-on-year growth of 94.86%, or 340,158 more NEVs.

The number of pure electric vehicles was 607,590, 86.96% of the total number of new energy vehicles.

From January to June this year, Jiangsu registered 200,147 NEVs, 115,561 more than the same period last year, or an increase of 136.6%. This accounted for 21.9% of the total number of vehicle registrations, 14.7 percentage points higher than the same period last year.

Data also showed the proportion of NEVs among all new automobile registrations went up month by month, from 17% at the beginning of the year to 23% in June.
