Jiangsu elects 71 delegate to 20th CPC National Congress

Jiangsu has elected 71 members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) as the province’s delegates to the 20th National Congress of the CPC in a meeting on June 22 and 23. 

Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, spoke at the meeting presided over by the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee. 

In the meeting, Zhao Shiyong, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and also head of the Organization Department of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, introduced the selection of candidate delegates. The meeting voted to adopt the election methods, the list of supervisors and the list of candidates.  

After comprehensive preparation and thorough discussions, the meeting elected 71 delegates, including Wang Qishan and Liu Qibao, candidates nominated by the CPC Central Committee.
