Binjiang New District in Jingjiang City held a competition to select the expressive guide amid efforts to increase visitor’s experience and boost local development.
In the preparation stage, participants could ask all kinds questions from local official about a neighborhood, do a research, or make an interview in order to develop an engaging story. The presentation took about 15 minutes and encouraged a joint show by more than one participant.
The competition has proved to be a good way to motivate young cadres to learn deeper about the neighborhoods and also improve their public communication skills.
Chen Yanyu, one of participants, said visits to the residential community are really important to work out the unique talk points and putting a smile to make the video presentation also helps boost self-confidence.
