BNEQ Medical Center in Nanjing City opened three new services starting from May 27 for patients with animal bite wound, fish bone stuck in throat, or chronic wound.

The hospital is the first in the city to help patients remove fish bone from the throat at night. In the trial operation, it usually received 10-20 patients who swallowed fish bone.

Liu Honggang, deputy director of the hospital’s department of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, said the nighttime service can help patients get tricky fish bones unstuck. Patients can also find remedy to get rid of chicken bone or shrimp stuck in the throat at the hospital.
