Huai’an City plans to launch 523 projects, with a planned investment of 72.56 billion yuan for the year, to get closer to the development goal of becoming a key hub in northern Jiangsu.

This includes 68 projects by the city-government, 229 projects by the district-government or industrial parks, and 226 projects for private investment, said Wang Yinong, director of the city’s Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, at a press conference on April 26.

As of March, Huai’an had completed investment of 12.242 billion yuan, or 16.87 percent of the planned amount for the year. In addition, 302 projects kicked off construction and 264 projects resumed work after the COVID-19 disruption, accounting for 57.93 percent and 86.27 percent of the total, respectively. The city has basically kept pace with the schedule decided earlier this year.
