On the morning of February 2, Lianyungang Customs House, affiliated to Nanjing Customs, ensured the rapidest customs clearance of a batch of 200,000 masks used to fight the pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
Nanjing Customs has opened green channels at all its customs offices, handling 19,882 imports declarations for materials used to curb the spread of the coronavirus from January 24 to February 2 including 3,390 disinfection items, 270,000 pairs of protective gloves, 11,699 pairs of goggles and nearly 90,000 protective suits and others.
On January 26, Nanjing Customs set up a faster customs clearance for materials donated from overseas to fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak. The items can be cleared upon registration first, provided there’s proof from medial regulating authorities, and then going through relevant procedures in a later stage. Imported drugs and medical equipment to control the coronavirus, no matter they are carried by individual passengers or through postal or express delivery, can complete custom clearance in the shortest time without any delay.
