Suzhou Universal Children's Art Center: Fostering creativity and cultural exchange

Co-created by the Suzhou Culture and Arts Center and The ASK, the Suzhou Universal Children's Art Center was unveiled during the Now Festival 2023 held from May 28 to June 4.

A deamland for children of all ages, the new center will cooperate with festivals, producers, organizations, and artists involved in children's theatre productions worldwide. It will take into account the local culture and art, providing a unique space for children to grow alongside art and creative individuals.

Believing that art education needs to be promoted across borders and cultures, the center aims to help strengthen cultural exchange and cooperation between China and other countries.

It will function both as a theater for performances and a venue to nurture and support new shows. With the support of an artist residency program, the center hopes to become a hub for creators and performers from around the world, producing outstanding plays for children. In addition to performances, it will offer opportunities for children to learn about performing arts, experiment with interesting ideas, and embrace the possibilities of art creation.
