Suzhou opens Jiangnan Culture and Arts & International Tourism Festival

The 5^th Jiangnan Culture and Arts & International Tourism Festival opened on the evening of May 30 at the Suzhou Culture and Arts Center, featuring the performance of “Spectacular Clouds,” the first ballet on a science theme by Suzhou Ballet Theatre.

The festival will bring together famous artists, directors and troupes to provide 513 shows of 77 plays. In addition to the performances, the festival will host various sideline activities, including eight forums focusing on Jiangnan and eight sessions exploring calligraphy, painting, folk customs, and other topics.

Spanning a month, the festival offers exceptional opportunities to delve into the city’s ancient history, classical gardens, waterways, traditional crafts, and well-preserved historic architecture.
