Yangzhou Biodiverse and Sci-tech City, a signature development project in the historic and cultural city, has made active efforts to improve its ecological environment, especially at its Phoenix Island National Wetland Park and Jufeng Island.
The 81-square kilometer area integrates industrial strengths and tourism resources to become a role model of eco-friendly development.
The wetland park has continued to improve the scenic spots through multiple measures, such as carrying out ecological restoration, adding new landscapes and organizing light shows and music festivals. The park passed the city’s preliminary review for 4A recognition in 2021 and was also designated as one of the 100 cultural landmarks along the Grand Canal.
Jufeng Island covers an area of 250 mu and is home to hundreds of species of birds and insects. It has the most original wetland island and remarkable environment.
In addition to environmental endeavors at these two venues, Yangzhou Biodiverse and Sci-tech City has also built a 78-km road to link the top tourist attractions, providing beautiful and varied sceneries in the journey.
