Jiangsu launched the first shopping festival for intangible cultural heritage (ICH) in Suqian City on the morning of June 13.

The launch ceremony also marked the start of a fair for ICH items along an avenue in the city’s Yanghe New District, where 62 inheritors from Huai’an, Yancheng, Xuzhou, Lianyungang and Suqian showcased their unique, time-honored craftsmanship on the site.

The shopping festival included the participation of 660 inheritors as well as some 8,100 types of ICH-themed products. The online festival was supported by eight platforms including e-commerce giants of Alibaba, JD.com, Suning and Pingduoduo.

People can also visit the online exhibition, http://www.jsfybh.com/zhan (in Chinese), to gain a glimpse of the rich, diversified cultural heritage in the coastal province from June 13 to 20. The website includes four parts dedicated to traditional sports, dance, TCM and food.
