On July 2, Nanjing Lukou International Airport launched its first electronic boarding pass for passengers travelling to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and international destinations.
Passengers traveling from the airport to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific flights can now check in through the airline’s website, app, or WeChat official account. They only need to present a valid travel document and electronic boarding pass to complete the boarding process, thus saving much wait time.
The Nanjing-Hong Kong flight operated by Cathay Pacific is the first fully "paperless" service at the airport, which is also one of the first airports with an annual passenger throughput of over 10 million to offer this streamlined service.
The airport plans to cooperate with more airlines to make the boarding process paperless, offering more convenient and efficient travel services for outbound passengers.
