Jiangsu Province outlined initiatives to promote the development of its industrial economy and the application of information technology during a work conference held in Nanjing on July 30.

In the first half of this year, Jiangsu's industrial investment and manufacturing investment grew by 14.6% and 12.6% year-on-year, respectively, higher than the national average by 2.0 and 3.1 percentage points.

Jiangsu intends to establish a comprehensive mechanism for the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and strive to host national-level manufacturing innovation centers.

To accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, such as equipment renewal, the province will support Nanjing and Suzhou in evolving into national bases for AI applications in industry.

To develop and strengthen emerging industries, Jiangsu will encourage hubs of emerging industries to enhance their supply chains and advance progress in a coordinated manner.
