After a suspension due to COVID-19, Nanjing Lukou International Airport officially resumed fruits imports on October 21 as Flight JD346 of Beijing Capital Airlines brought in about 1,595 kilograms of fresh durian from Bangkok.

The imported Thai fruits are slated for sale in Jiangsu and neighboring areas. Beijing Capital Airlines plans to transport six tonnes of fresh durian per week. The airport is also gearing up to handle more imported seasonal fruits.

Authorities have streamlined custom declaration services at the airport, conducting immediate inspections and verifications to ensure both quality and expedited delivery.
