Jiangsu completes 47.7% of planned investment for key projects this year

In the period from January to May, Jiangsu completed 47.7% of the planned annual investment, with 133 out of 500 province-level key projects starting construction and 18 already in operation.

The coastal province has maintained smooth progress in advancing the key projects, injecting strong momentum into high-quality economic development.

Jiangsu's transport sector has been experiencing fast growth, as indicated by the main indicators. In the first five months, the province completed infrastructure investments totaling 103.84 billion yuan for the construction of expressways, railways, waterways, and airport projects, accounting for 51.9% of the annual schedule.

In the first half of the year, Jiangsu plans to complete 130 billion yuan of investment in transport infrastructure construction, accounting for 65% of the annual plan. Additionally, the province aims to promote digital transformation of infrastructure.
