China-Europe freight train trips up 10.4% in Xuzhou

Xuzhou City registered 111 China-Europe freight train trips in the first quarter of the year, an increase of 10.4% year-on-year, and it also made progress in terms of key performance indicators, such as the cargo volume and return trip.

The outbound trains carried engineering machinery, auto parts, daily necessities and other goods for export, accounting for 38.07% of the city's total export volume.

The city operates freight train service to four directions - Russia, Central Asia, West Asia and Central Europe - via China's five ports in Erenhot, Manzhouli, Horgos, Alashankou and Suifenhe. The cargo train connects Xuzhou with more than 50 cities in 21 countries, including Belarus, Poland, Germany, Holland and Belgium.
