Xuzhou City plans to invest 206 million yuan and 640 million yuan this year in waterway and port construction respectively, improving its position as hub of the Huaihai Economic Zone.
In 2022, the city spent 36 million yuan on the local section of the Grand Canal, and invested 554 million yuan in port infrastructure, helping Xuzhou achieve new breakthroughs in port and waterway services, safety, sustainability performance, and digital transformation.
In 2023, Xuzhou will adhere to the principle of "scientific decision-making, coordination, green, and innovation" to improve the waterway network and enhance the port service and capacity.
