The Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government recently held a legal service program for enterprises invested by the two special administrative regions.
The office worked with the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, the province's Department of Commerce and Department of Taxation, the Nanjing Arbitration Commission, and the Law School of Southeast University to host the program in Zhenjiang and Taizhou cities.
Jiangsu amended a regulation in July to promote and protect investment from Hong Kong and Macao. In this legal service program, presenters made visits to companies and communities and focused on interpreting the background and latest content of this amendment.
Hong Kong and Macao have made investment to 34,000 projects in Jiangsu, with the actualized use of foreign investment reaching $240 billion, about half of the total foreign investment into the coastal province.
