The 2022 International Major Technology Equipment Conference (IMTEC 2022) was held in the Lingang New Area of Shanghai's Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) on November 29.

Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on creating a cluster of major technology equipment industries in the Yangtze River Delta.

Working closely with COMAC, Aero Engine Corporation of China, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, China State Shipbuilding Corporation and China Electric Equipment Group, the region will strengthen the integration and collaboration of large and medium-sized enterprises to jointly build industrial clusters, innovation hubs, service platforms and associations in order to spearhead industry developments.
