Xinjiekou area home to four of China's top 50 shopping malls

Nanjing’s four shopping malls made it on to the revenue ranking list of the top 50 performers in the country, according to a study issued recently.

Over 100 shopping centers have released their revenue figures in 2021, including the four all located in Nanjing’s central business district Xinjiekou - Deji Plaza, The Central, Golden Eagle and Cenbest - which achieved a total revenue of approximately 37.1 billion yuan.

Xinjiekou is also the only such business district in China to host four malls at the same time, each with an annual revenue of 4 billion yuan.

Beijing SKP and Beijing China World Mall led the national list, followed by Deji Plaza, which also secured the top spot in East China. All the three malls reported revenue of over 20 billion yuan each.
