The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in Jiangsu Province has recently taken the national lead to start unmanned farming and agricultural mechanization.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the province plans to build more than 400 unmanned farms and demonstration sites for agricultural mechanization. The province also sets clear goals in terms of integration of agricultural machinery and techniques, mechanization and information technology, and management.

The demonstration sites will showcase the use of intelligent agricultural machinery and also highlight technical solutions for aquaculture, livestock and poultry farming.

The supportive programs will include subsidies for purchase of agricultural machinery.
