Drawings by Ma Yuewen, a young nurse at the respiratory department of Nanjing TCM Hospital, has gone viral on social media.

Ma, who is in her twenties, made the drawings to record the unforgettable memories during the fight against the pandemic. “I wanted to cheer myself up and also support my colleagues,” said Ma.

After the outbreak of COVID-19, she and other 50 colleagues were sent to Jiangning District to help curb the pandemic spread. For over ten days, they have been busy with collecting samples for nucleic acid testing.

Ma said people like her drawings because of the shared experiences in this challenging time, although she herself has no education of drawing.
