As a key part of the exposition, the exhibition, both on-site and online, will run for 4 days in an area of 50,000 sqm divided into six internal zones and one outdoor venue. It will feature a number of hot topics including 5G and IoT, intelligent sensing and industrial Internet, smart city and IoT solutions, smart life and Internet of vehicles and 5G virtual reality, and also showcase the latest achievement and trend.
The ten panel discussions will shed light on key issues related to IoT, such as smart manufacturing, information security, Big Data, 5G and artificial intelligence.
The 16 sideline programs consist of Advanced Computing Development Conference, AI Innovation and Development Forum, Health IoT Forum, Smart Sports and Digital Entertainment Industry Summit, China Mobile IoT Developer Conference, China IoT Listed Companies Summit, Carbon Targets and Green Smart City Development Forum, and an innovation and entrepreneurship contest.
In 2020, the province's IoT business revenue exceeded 650 billion yuan and Wuxi stood out for its thriving IoT industry. Wuxi became the first prefecture-level city of the country to achieve full coverage of NB-IoT, a cellular-based narrowband Internet of Things (IoT). It is also the only Asian city recognized in the IEEE Smart City Initiative, which aims to develop a worldwide network of cities, sharing their experience and organizing knowledge dissemination in their respective ecosystems.
The city has held the WIOT for five sessions since 2016, which facilitated the launch of nearly 800 projects and the investment into IoT of 200 billion yuan.
