The Jiangsu-Anhui Cooperation Demonstration Zone has launched the inter-provincial government services to cover 78 administrative items in the first round.
On May 31, a resident surnamed Ge from Liyang City of Jiangsu Province, said the streamlined service enabled him to get the business license for a new company registered in Anhui Province just one day after submitting the materials in the city, a great improvement of efficiency.
The new program means individuals and businesses of one region can apply for government services in the other region, saving the trouble of visiting different offices. Engaged in tea business in Liyang, Ge now plans to explore the market in Anhui.
The National Development and Reform Commission approved a plan to build the Jiangsu-Anhui Cooperation Demonstration Zone in 2018, which covers Liyang, Langxi and Guangde. This was the first county-based inter-provincial cooperation zone with a mission to promote eco-friendly development in China. In March this year, the three places signed an agreement on inter-provincial government services.
The government services that can be handled inter-provincially focus on people's livelihood, including issues related to ID cards, household registration, immigration, housing fund transfer, work injury and unemployment. They also cover market regulations, such as the registration or dissolution of companies.
