The 8th Jiangsu Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held the finals in Haimen District of Nantong City on November 22.

Luan Peng from Jiangsu Blue Whale New Materials, Ma Xin from Taixing-based SIONEX New Energy, and Zhao Xiaojian from Suzhou-based BioInno Bioscience won first prize. Ten entrants won second prize, and 25 won third prize in the competition that started five months ago.

The talent competition combined online and offline events, mainly in fields of biomedicine, new materials and advanced manufacturing. Most of teams in the competition already took leading roles in their researches and technologies.

The competition was also open to overseas participants. Among 3,000 participants, 120 made it to the finals after rounds of matches.

The first, second and third prize winners won 100,000 yuan, 50,000 yuan and 20,000 yuan. They will also enjoy the priority to obtain preferential support from financial institutions and get recommended to Jiangsu enterprises, industrial parks and investment agencies for further development.
