Nanjing‘s Qinhuai District held an opening ceremony of 16 key projects on October 8, which involve a total investment of nearly 30 billion yuan. Two mega projects are worth 10 billion yuan each.
Qinhuai has made great efforts to coordinate the COVID-19 prevention and control and economic and social development. A total of 25 city-level or district-level projects and eight renovation-centered projects opened in the district this year, which also reported the completion of eight projects. Together, these projects involved investment of 15.4 billion yuan.
The 16 newly-opened projects will play important roles in driving the district’s goal to boost S&T innovation, attract more corporate headquarters and improve commercial facilities.
Among them, Ping An Happiness is the first large-scale industrial complex in the core area of Southern New Town and also the largest complex in downtown Nanjing in nearly ten years. With a total investment of about 10.5 billion yuan, the project over a land of 269,000 square meters will boast a total floor area of 726,000 square meters.
The Southern New Town Fitness Center project will integrate a complex, a gymnasium, swimming pools and a ball games venue, with a total investment of about 980 million yuan. The project over a land of 16,400 square meters will have a total floor area of about 72,000 square meters.
