China’s first export via the combined market purchasing trade (Customs code “1039”) and B2B cross-border e-commerce model passed customs clearance in Haimen, Nantong, Jiangsu Province on August 3.
The containers carried $60,800 worth of home textile products and $750 worth of silk quilts purchased at Dieshiqiao International Home Textile City, which will be transported to Los Angeles.
Dieshiqiao is currently China's largest textile market with the greatest product variety and the highest trading quota of textiles. It was the first testing ground in Jiangsu to carry out the reform of market purchasing trade, through which a total of $7.1 billion worth of goods have been exported.
At the beginning of 2020, Dieshiqiao was then included to pilot the cross-border e-commerce, making it to enjoy two supportive policies in developing foreign trade.
On June 12, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) of China announced trials of two new ways of supervision on cross-border e-commerce exports to further stabilize foreign trade. The code "9710" is applicable to goods directly exported by cross-border e-commerce B2B, while "9810" is applicable to goods in overseas warehouses of cross-border e-commerce exports. This new policy will certainly increase Dieshiqiao’s foreign trade.
