Jiangsu confers Friendship Award to 20 foreign experts

Jiangsu Provincial Government presented the Jiangsu Friendship Award 2021 to 20 outstanding foreign experts from 13 countries on Oct. 28.

The Friendship Award is the highest award to commend foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to Jiangsu’s economic and social development. Since its establishment in 1997, 327 foreign experts have received the award.

Considering the new trend of economic globalization and the country’s opening-up drive, Jiangsu has made it a key priority to attract international talent to support the innovation-driven growth. This included efforts to constantly optimize the policy environment, woo top-notch professionals, and expand their roles in more fields.

The province has introduced 1,738 high-end foreign talents and established 541 workstations for foreign experts, and the number of foreign talents with valid work permit totaled 24,000.
