Landmarks and high-rise buildings in Nanjing City of Jiangsu Province were lit up in honor of the 4th Medical Workers' Day on the night of August 18.
In late 2017, the State Council, China's cabinet, set August 19 as the national Medical Workers' Day starting from 2018.
Organized by the Jiangsu Health Commission, more than 6,200 medical professionals from many cities including Wuxi, Changzhou and Nantong raced against time to reach Nanjing and help curb the COVID-19 spread.
