The healthcare information platform used in Nanjing won the highest rating during the annual technic review by the National Health Commission, making Nanjing the first provincial capital to get the recognition.
The review is part of efforts to promote the standards and specifications of the healthcare information platforms and ensure smooth information sharing, interoperability and compatibility.
The platform is able to effectively collect and use data, facilitate the collaboration among administrative departments, medical institutions and health agencies at all levels in Jiangsu Province. It helps improve the efficiency of regulation and enables application of intelligent medical services.
In the fight against COVID-19, Nanjing has used the healthcare information platform to effectively analyze data and respond to the changing epidemic situation in real time.
At present, the platform has more than 6.7 billion pieces of medical and health data collected from the city's 11 districts, Jiangbei New Area and 29 hospitals. It also has health records of the city’s 7.41 million residents. Doctors and patients can check health records, medical test results, treatment and medication information through the platform.
