Jiangsu, Shanghai and Zhenjiang have made a new move to promote integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta by coordinating electricity supply over the medium and low-voltage network across administrative barriers.
Border areas of the three regions will be the first to provide electricity for an integrated distribution. New 10kV power lines will pass through Wujiang, Qingpu and Jiashan, which are located in the border areas, to ensure the stable power supply and mutual assistance.
Jiangsu’s power grid, an important part of the East China Power Grid, includes four 1000 kV ultra-high voltage lines connected with Anhui and Shanghai, and ten 500 kV power lines linked with Shanghai, Zhejiang and Anhui. The province has kept improving its power transmission capacity.
An official of the electricity department of Jiangsu Energy Bureau said the province will further optimize the distribution network planning and gradually realize the 110 kV power lines shared by the Yangtze River Delta eco-friendly development demonstration area, namely Wujiang, Qingpu and Jiashan, and make innovative measures to coordinate the inter-provincial power bill payment.
