On May 13, Yancheng city government held a press conference on planning and construction of the Hanfeng International Cultural City, a modern complex and multifunctional hub.

The project is located in the core area of Sino-Korea (Yancheng) Industry Park, with a planned area of 6.4 square kilometers.

Xu Longbo, director of committee of Yancheng Economic and Technology Development Zone, said Yancheng is the partner city designated in free-trade agreement between China and South Korea for its solid industrial foundation, easy transport network and various carrier platforms.

The project consists of three clusters with distinctive functions - a core zone, a high-end trade zone and an ecological community. The city will also build China-Korea cultural exchange centre and separate blocks for high streets, entertainment, health and research. It will be home to financing, corporate headquarters and high-end residential areas.

The Yancheng Economic and Technology Development Zone focuses on development of three leading industries -- automobiles, new energy equipment and digital information, and it has attracted a growing population and more industries.
