A large number of materials to contain COVID-19 outbreak including donated and purchased are being quickly conveyed to South Korea via freight liners of Lianyungang C-K Ferry in Jiangsu.
The freight liners had transported about 4.6 million masks and 3,000 sets of protective clothing as of March 31, among which 500,000 masks and all protective clothing were donated by companies.
The port has opened a "green channel" to facilitate the delivery of these materials mainly from Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. Priority and preferential measures such as cost cut are given to trucks and ships transporting the materials.
The port of Lianyungang will keep adapting to the constantly changing pandemic situation by utilizing its shipping, railway and other transportation and distribution systems to the maximum, offering support to South Korea and countries along the Belt and Road.
